The Church of St. Elisabeth’s offers many ways for families and individuals to serve God and our community. St Elisabeth’s volunteers, some as young as five years of age, have partnered alongside First United Church of Evanston preparing and serving a hot meal every other month to hungry neighbors. Partnering with St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church in Wilmette, St E’s parishioners help to host homeless families for a week twice a year. We host a Pride Fest for Glencoe village inviting all LGBTQ people and allies to celebrate the diversity of God’s creation together. The parish participates in Revive’s Christmas Basket program where we purchase, wrap, and deliver over 50 baskets aiding in holiday cheer. Parishioners may choose to serve as members of the choir or the altar guild, as acolytes, lay readers or ushers, and as volunteers at parish events.
