Parish Ministries

St. Elisabeth’s relies on the efforts of our dedicated volunteers to guide our organization, maintain our campus, and develop our community engagement programs. These ministries include our Adult Formation team, the Buildings and Grounds Committee, Communications, Fundraising, and more. We invite you to explore these volunteer opportunities that keep our church running smoothly, and to get involved in one of these ministries.

For more information on any ministry, or to learn how to get involved, please contact our church office.

Adult Formation Team

The Adult Formation Team finds and recommends topics and ideas for forums, seminars, book studies, and other formation opportunities for adults in the parish.

Beautification Committee

The Beautification Committee partners with the Buildings and Grounds team to enhance and update the appearance of the church, the parish house, the church grounds, and the rectory.

Buildings and Grounds Committee

The Communications Committee oversees the parish website, The Voice newsletter, the e-newsletter, signage, and other communication in the parish.

Family Promise

Family Promise provides meals and volunteer assistance to homeless families in our community.

Fundraising Committee:

The Fundraising Committee organizes fundraisers to supplement our annual operating budget and support our ministries.

Caryl grew up in Arlington Heights, the same community in which she now resides with her husband, Alan, and their four cats. They have two grown sons, one engaged and one married, and the most adorable granddaughter in the world.

Caryl grew up in the Presbyterian Church and joined the Episcopal Church as a young adult. Caryl and Alan sing with Chicago Masters Singers, an auditioned community choir based in Palatine and performing in Glenview. They also enjoy welcoming young people from CBYX, a German young professionals exchange program, into their home for a year-long stay.
