Special Events:

Advent Wreath Making - December 3, 2023
- Come One, Come All to join in a wonderful St. Elisabeth’s holiday tradition of making Advent wreaths. This year we’ll be gathering after the 10:00 am service on December 3. Children and adults can work together to create beautiful wreaths to be used in your homes during the season of Advent and on into Christmas. There will also be the opportunity to help create Advent wreaths for those who cannot be with us. We’ll supply all materials for the wreaths – candles, an array of evergreen cuttings, clear plastic bowls with flower foam that will keep greens wet throughout the season, and a brief guide to observing Advent. For anyone that is not able to attend but interested in making a wreath, please let us know and we can set aside kits for you to make at home. We will request that you donate $20 for each wreath. There will be a sign-up sheet on the Bulletin Board in the hall, or email the church office to sign up.
Lessons and Carols - December 10, 2023
- Join us for our annual service of Lessons and Carols, led by the choir and musicians of St. Elisabeth's church during the 10AM worship service.

Children of all ages are welcome at St. Elisabeth’s, and invited as full participants in our worship and programs. We are pleased to offer Children's Sunday School every Sunday after church, and a variety of programs and engagement opportunities for children and youth that join us – please visit our Children and Youth page to learn more!

St. Elisabeth’s is a part of the Episcopal Church, a multinational denomination and member province of the worldwide Anglican Communion. The mission of the church, as stated in the Book of Common Prayer’s catechism, is “to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ.”

Locally, St. Elisabeth’s is a member church of the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago, which consists of 127 churches in the greater Chicago area. St. Elisabeth’s has also partnered with three neighboring congregations to form the Better Together Partnership, in order to share gifts and resources across a broader community.
