St. Elisabeth’s relies on the efforts of our dedicated volunteers to guide our organization, assiste with worship, maintain our campus, and develop our community engagement programs. We invite you to explore these ministries opportunities that keep our church running smoothly, and to get involved!
Worship Ministries
Acolytes
​Acolytes carry the cross, Gospel book, and torches in procession during worship, and assist the priest in preparing for Communion.
Altar Guild
The Altar Guild sets up and cleans the sanctuary for worship; tending to the vessels of the altar, the vestments and altar cloths, candles, and liturgical décor.
Choir
The St. Elisabeth’s Choir is a volunteer ensemble that leads the music for 10am Sunday services and special holiday services throughout the year. Our members come from all age groups and musical backgrounds, and we rehearse Thursdays at 7pm and Sundays at 9am.
Lay Readers & Lectors
Lay Readers and Lectors read the assigned Scripture passages in church, lead the Prayers of the People, and assist the clergy in serving communion.
Ushers
Ushers support the congregation through the worship service. They welcome congregants to the service, distribute worship bulletins, take up the offering during the service, help guide the congregation forward for communion, and help collect visitor cards and discarded bulletins after each service.
Parish Ministries
Buildings & Grounds
The Buildings and Grounds Committee is responsible for the care and maintenance of the church building and surrounding grounds. From fixing broken doors and replacing lightbulbs to working with various contractors, this team keep St. Elisabeth’s beautiful and functional.
Children & Family Ministries
The Children & Family Ministries team assists in leading children’s Sunday School each week.
House Committee
The House Committee partners with the Buildings and Grounds team to enhance and update the appearance of the church, the parish house, the church grounds, and the rectory.
Parish Life Committee
The Parish Life Committee plans and coordinates fellowship events to welcome newcomers to the parish and foster community amongst the members.
Stewardship Committee
The Stewardship Committee leads the annual giving campaign that supports the ministries of St. Elisabeth's.
