About The Episcopal Church
St. Elisabeth’s is a part of the Episcopal Church, a multinational denomination and member province of the worldwide Anglican Communion. ​Locally, St. Elisabeth’s is a member church of the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago, which consists of 115 churches in northern and west central Illinois.

The Episcopal Church
The mission of The Episcopal Church, as stated in the Book of Common Prayer’s catechism, is “to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ.” In step with that mission, we follow Jesus into loving, liberating, and life-giving relationships with God, with each other, and with the earth.

The Anglican Communion is a worldwide network of Anglican churches, in over 165 countries (42 Provinces), advancing global mission and promoting Christian unity. The ACO supports Anglicans live out the Five Marks of Mission and share the Good News of the Christian faith in church and community life.
