God be with you,
And also with you.
Let us pray.
For silver on the sage, for starlit skies above, for aspen covered hills, for wind in whispering pines, and for those who walk beside us upon the trail, we praise you and we thank you, O God and Maker of All.
God in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
O God of truth and goodness, you are ever faithful, our ever present helper and our strength - make us trustworthy and good. Make us loyal, for through loyalty do we reach our highest ideals. Teach us to be helpful, for through helping others, do we forget our selfishness and dwell in your love.
God in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
God our daily companion, guide us to befriend those who are lonely and sorrowing. Train us in courtesy and share with us your noble gracefulness. Make us kind that, through us, your kindness may abound in our world.
God in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
O God, you order our days and our steps, make us obedient to ever walking in your Way with cheerfulness. Train us in thrift that we will be wise stewards of all the good gifts you give us.
God in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
O God, make us brave in every season of life – in both the darkness and in the light. Purify our hearts that we are whole and clean in our thoughts, our speech, our deeds.
God in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
We bring to you in prayer today, merciful and mighty One, all those in need of prayer, all who are sick, who suffer, who grieve, or who are in any kind of trouble, particularly those we now name, silently or aloud: Sally Sherry, Aidan, Isabelle, Anne, Ben, and Chuck & family, Are there others?
And we pray to you for all who have died, especially Yolanda Fraioli. Lead them into your realms of light eternal.
God in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
Above all, O God, help us to be reverent towards all created things which you have made for our enjoyment and to draw us nearer to you: the streams, the trees, the hillsides. Lead us to be ever mindful that it was you who made the waters to flow, the trees to reach heavenward, the mountains to endure for the long ages of the earth. We ask you, Eternal One, to help us to live out the oaths we have pledged with generosity and courage. May your care and love for us shine through all that we do and all that we are. Walk with us, O God, along all the pathways of our days.
God in your mercy,
Hear our prayer.
Silence
Set us free, O God, from the bondage of our sins, and give us the liberty of that abundant life which you have made known to us in your Son our Savior Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. The Book of Common Prayer
Amen.
